EASE THE TRANSITION FROM BATHTIME TO BEDTIME™
How to be the best parent?

Every parent wants to be a wonderful parent. However, this is not always easy; we may have picked up bad habits from our parents and have difficulty determining what to do with our children in certain situations. Below are some secrets that are easy to understand that can help anyone become a phenomenal parent.

    1. CONNECT WITH YOUR CHILDREN
Read books together every evening to create a closer bond with your child. Set aside a particular time alone with dad to help enhance your child's self-esteem.1 Dad can also take the children outdoors after dinner every evening, play a game, or participate in daily bedtime reading.
    2. SAY “I LOVE YOU” OFTEN
Say "I Love You" to your children as often as you can. A child needs to know that they are loved no matter what, this will help build their sense of security and self-esteem.
    3. KEEP YOUR CHILDREN ACTIVE
Make sure you keep your children busy with toys, games to play, and plenty of exercises. Have them walk beside the stroller for some extra activity if they are at the walking stage.
    4.

    5. ESTABLISH GOOD HEALTH PRACTICES
Children should be brushing their teeth at least twice per day and have regular visits to the pediatrician. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services recommends seven well-child visits between the ages of 1 and 4. 2
    6. HAVE FAMILY MEAL TIME
Cooking healthy and avoiding processed foods is more beneficial for the entire family and avoid sugary treats. You can plan meals ahead of time by cooking on the weekend for the whole week. Strive to have meals together as a family daily to stay connected by sharing each other's daily experiences; this helps develop your child's communication skills while asking them to talk about their day.
    7. INSTILL DISCIPLINE
It is essential to raise your children with structure and boundaries. Have your child participate in the clean up of toys and putting dishes in the sink. When children do daily chores, they feel they are accomplishing something that they can be proud of when it is over. Scheduled tasks help with their daily structure and make them feel good by participating in family duties. Reward all good behavior and make an effort not to reward bad behavior.
    8. RAISE GOOD KIDS
It's essential to be a good role model for your children by behaving like you would want your child to behave. Try not to gossip, swear, yell, or criticizing others around your children. It is also crucial not to behave this way towards your children. It can be devastating to a child if they overhear a parent saying bad things about them to other people. Kids imitate parents, and your children will imitate parent's bad behaviors.
